Terms of Service

Last updated: March 5, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using PIDKill ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License

PIDKill is licensed, not sold. Upon purchasing a license, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PIDKill on up to 2 Mac computers that you personally own or control (e.g. a MacBook and a desktop Mac). Each license key can be activated on a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously.

To transfer your license to a different device, deactivate it on the current device first, or contact [email protected] for assistance.

3. Free Trial

PIDKill offers a 3-day free trial with full functionality. The trial is tied to your Mac's hardware identifier to prevent reuse. After the trial period, a license purchase is required to continue using the Software. No credit card is required to start the trial.

4. Pricing & Payment

PIDKill is a one-time purchase of $3.99 USD. There are no subscriptions, recurring fees, or in-app purchases. Payment is processed securely by Gumroad.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number.

6. What PIDKill Does

PIDKill monitors and terminates processes on your Mac based on targets you configure. The Software sends SIGTERM and SIGKILL signals to processes using standard POSIX APIs. You are responsible for choosing which processes to target.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PIDKill is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we make every effort to ensure the Software works correctly:

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of PIDKill. Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the Software.

9. Updates

Your license includes all future updates to PIDKill at no additional cost. Updates are delivered via the built-in update mechanism. We reserve the right to discontinue updates at any time, but your existing version will continue to work.

10. Restrictions
